Remembering a member of our community

Hey Y'all!

In the post following this one, you will find the daily HealthBlog Headline Listing.

This week, we who follow SharingOurDays had the first passing of one in our community. We know him simply as “Dad” – one of three main players in the caretaker blog “Leafing” (http://leafing2.blogspot.com/index.html).

Oddly, I’m sure he did not know that I would consider him a member of our community. But many of us read about him and his battle with Alzheimer’s nearly every day.

Learning of his passing was difficult for me and I have not yet figured out if there is anything SharingOurDays can do to offer special recognition to those who leave us. As I write this, there are at least two more of our group who will not likely be with us much longer (for obvious reasons, we won’t name them).

For now, though, I encourage you to visit “Leafing” and offer your positive thoughts and prayers to Dad’s family. He had a long, mostly good life. His daughter, Carrie, does an excellent job of commemorating that life.
